“Did you get this pitch?”


“Pretty bad, huh?”


“We could do better than this.”


This conversation happened dozens of times over our cubicle divider at CNBC. As producers on Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo, Dorian (my co-founder) and I saw it all when it came to media pitches. It’s not that we envisioned a revolutionary approach to PR but that we knew how to reverse engineer storytelling in a way that very few agencies understood.

This is the simple origin of Rally Point. Fresh off a stint in Singapore at CNBC Asia, I joined Maria’s team at global headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Dorian and I had previously worked together at MSNBC and NBC News and had a shared love of a good story and an ambition that manifested itself in our desire to launch and build a business.

Now, more than seven years in, we’re poised for big things. Our staff has tripled so far this year. We have a fresh new logo, an updated website, and a new name. We’re dropping the “Media Strategies” to become Rally Point Public Relations. Here’s what this all means:

Our new name reflects our ability to deliver a wide range of services including media relations, content strategy and development, influencer and analyst relations, conference and event coordination, and a host of other capabilities. Through it all, we remain focused on delivering sharp and creative stories to the right audiences at the right time.

Our team is down-to-earth, seasoned, and capable. We value honesty and a straightforward approach over impossible promises. We’re carefully building a team that believes in those values and that has the right experience. Above all else, we’re committed to driving great client experiences.
